Goju Ryu ShimBuKai has developed a New and Innovative way to Introduce Karate to Schools to support the current P.E Curriculum. It is designed to deliver activities in line with Karate philosophy, placing an emphasis on providing safe, fun, engaging activities that ensure maximum participation from all children, regardless of their level of ability. Our Programs are designed to help schools increase children’s participation in sport and to connect them with community sporting opportunities.

At Goju Ryu Shimbukai it is our intention in Setting up key relationships with schools as this plays an important role in providing a successful sport programs and student sport participation.

      WELCOME TO SHIMBUKAI

1.      SAFEGUARDING - The Child Safe Practices we follow were developed by Sport Integrity Australia.

2.      WHO DO WE COACH? - It is important for young people to play sport, stay active and have an early connection to sport to encourage a lifelong love of sport and physical activity.

3. WHERE DO WE COACH? - It is important for those in sport and education to understand the barriers that impact youth and what can motivate them to participate in sport for active and healthy lives.

4.      WHAT DO WE COACH? -Sport is less able to meet the needs of young people, particularly true for disengaged students. It is important to understand the barriers that impact youth and what can motivate them to participate in sport.

5.      HOW DO WE CONNECT? - Coaches play more of an architect role than a director’s role, not how to perform a skill but key coaching points for that skill.

6.      HOW DO WE ENGAGE? - The “tree principle of learning” is an easy way to understand how we learn. It recognizes that every learning experience begins with a single root thought, then converted into multiple branches as it spreads throughout our memory system.

7.      HOW DO WE DELIVER? - By Identifying the Audience Needs and setting Learning Goals and Outcomes, also by having Instructional Strategies and Lesson Plans, along with Instructional Materials. We also set Key Instructions in the Classroom and continuous evaluating and Improving ours programs.
